I Like his Spark

This morning, as I lay in bed, I wondered what I was going to do with my unemployed ass. All those years of working and loving my occupation were nowhere to be found. What is missing? What am I searching for?

Without getting out of bed, except to get a cup of hot coffee, I flipped through the channels on TV. There he was! The man I adore, Gordon Ramsey. Top chef of the World!

I was watching him help an Italian restaurant figure out why they were not succeeding in business. Then, he helps them regain their love for owning and running a successful restaurant.

Gordon seems to use his passion for cooking and producing excellent food dishes to satisfy his love for the game. This, I am sure, is why he is a Master Chef. He is not only a great chef but very good at analyzing a situation or problem. He searches for a solution that will produce positive results for the restaurant. He proceeds to help others succeed by using a firm, loving, and understanding hand.

Although, some people hate Gordon Ramsey because he curses, rants, and seems to mentally abuse kitchen help, servers, and other staff; I, on the other hand, love this talented, passionate man. I like his spark, his passion. A man I could argue with, passionately!

He knows how good food should taste, he shows others how to rebuild their business, and he teaches them to persevere in tense and time restraint conditions. I think he recognizes people who have a passion for cooking and running their own restaurant and he knows how to bring back their passion. If he cannot see their passion for success, I will bet he walks away from helping them. After all, if your heart is not in your game, you are wasting your time and his time.

As I watched Gordon’s passion for success of great food, it occurred to me that what I had lost was passion. I had lost my passion for the things I use to love to do. The passion I had for years in my occupation. Then I began to ask how and why I had lost all passion for my game.

So, what I was searching for was the passion, I had owned for years. Now, that I realize what I had lost, I am asking myself how and why I lost all passion for my game. I think I lost my passion in life because I listened to critics; Critics who found a way to get into my head through doubt.

Critics are people who resemble little grub worms. They find that pin-size doubt in you, build themselves up by tearing down your self-esteem, and create doubt for your passion. I let critics, who know nothing about my expertise, take control over my game. Actually, some people's passion in life is to criticize others for things they cannot do themselves.

So, if you have a passion to be the cream of the crop, take advice and criticism from others that have succeeded in the game. If it is cooking or running a restaurant, I suggest you follow Gordon's advice. If you are listening to criticism from people who do not have the same skills or love for your game, you loose.

Then I ask why I let someone who does not understand my love for my game stand in the way of my adventure of this game called life.

Take your passion, hold on tight, and work through your trials and obstacles. Remember your accomplishments and learn from your failures. Build with passion for your love of your game. After all, it is your game, your life. Find your passion and live your adventure. Stand up for your passion with passionate sparks.

Everyone has some kind of passion for his or her game. Your life is your game!

I just loooooooove how you started this hub!

It made me laugh, not only because I can see you laying there but here I am with my unemployed broke a** writing for money and wondering where the passion went. Well it went a lot of different places in search of income - but having humor in my life is a great passion and something I need to incorporate in my writing.

I'll find it - but your hub was a great reminder - thank you!

Still laughing - Carolyn!

Interesting, I don't know if I would visit a restaurant where the chef cursed everyone in the place.

BkCreative,

Humor can get you through the roughest of time. Take what you know and build on it. Things will work out for all of us. You said, "writing for money?!?" How do I get paid for writing? I've never made a dime writing on line. However, I just published my first fiction novel and am working on two more. If you like humor and light-hearted romance buy my new novel through BarnesandNoble.com or Amazon.com. It's called Serving up the Soul at the Kitchen Table by Hattie Eaton. Best Wishes! and as always Write Me A Smile!

Hi-Jinks,

Gordon Ramsey has a show called Hell's Kitchen. Chefs or wannna-be chefs cook and are kicked out one by one. The best chef gets a job in one of his restaurants and can make some serious money. I just admired his passion for what he believes in and his success. It's interesting. Keep writing me smiles!
